It takes a village to help a village

Wow, after 3 days the wells for Roun Village are 90% funded! I'm very grateful and more than a little relieved. When I first visited the village, I told them I couldn't make any promises as I didn't know if we could get support. That worry has been put to rest so thank you to everyone who has donated!

Last year, an online community of my internet friends came together and donated to put a reservoir in Raksmeysamaki village. It was a project that inspired our efforts here at Well Directed. One thing that was really remarkable to me about that project was how it was not only a blessing to the village but to everyone who contributed. We were all so excited when the trucks went out to dig the pool and more than a few of us were teary. It was amazing that all these people from all around the world had done this amazing thing for a group of people who would never have gotten the help otherwise. It took an online village to help a real one.

If you haven't donated yet and would like to be a part of something very special, it's not too late*.

*Edit: We are now at 100% funding for the wells! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared and supported our effort. We are getting in touch with the well contractor today.
